Bex S.A. Infraestrutura Brasileira
de Mobilidade Autônoma S.A

Why Brazil needs to build its own foundations.

Our streets are invisible to the new intelligence.

The most advanced autonomous systems in the world were built with data from San Francisco, Phoenix, Shanghai, Seoul. These are cities with their own particularities — and the models learned to operate in them.

Brazilian streets are a completely different domain. The motorcycle weaving between cars. The pedestrian crossing outside the crosswalk. The improvised roundabout. The pothole in the middle of the road. The truck stopped on the shoulder without signage. No model trained outside Brazil will operate here safely without local data.

This is not a technical detail. It is a structural barrier.

Brazil arrived late to the last revolutions. There is still time for this one.

Brazil is the 2nd largest market for Uber and WhatsApp in the world. We consume technology at a massive scale — yet we produce almost none of the infrastructure that sustains it. We live in the application and transaction layer. The infrastructure layer, where structural value is created, was built somewhere else.

In recent decades, we arrived late and as consumers. In the internet, in cloud computing, in semiconductors — Brazil was not at the table when the foundations were laid.

Autonomous mobility is still in its early days. The infrastructure does not exist yet — neither abroad nor in Brazil. This is one of those rare windows where arriving now still means arriving at the foundation.

Mobility infrastructure is sovereignty infrastructure.

The data that teaches vehicles to drive, the protocols that connect cars to the city, the models embedded in navigation systems — whoever defines these standards defines how the country moves.

Either Brazil builds its own autonomous mobility infrastructure, or it imports someone else’s and accepts their assumptions, limitations, and dependencies.

We are not an app. We are the foundation upon which Brazilian autonomous mobility will be built.
